FOT 9—Foundations of Technology PreTest—High School
The purpose of this website is to keep students and parents aware of what is happening in the classroom.
Please feel free to contact your student’s Foundations of Technology teacher to learn the progression of the class with the chapters to the left. Please note: some teachers may present the course competencies in a different format and not use this website or may only use sections of this site. Please contact your student’s teacher or attend the “Meet the Teacher Night” at your student’s school to learn how they cover the material.
We have a set of textbooks for the classroom. Students should see their teacher if they wish to checkout textbook. This course uses the “Technology” Textbook by R. Thomas Wright and published by G-W Publisher. Many links from this website will link to the publisher’s website, How Stuff Works, and other informative areas.

This course satisfies the Maryland State Department Technology Education credit required for graduation.
Students who do not speak English and need a translator. Please contact your teacher when you do not understand and ask them to use a language translator. Below is an excellent Free Translator. The translator translates into text and speaks in over 23 languages.
